2025 Detroit Jazz Festival to feature Chucho Valdés and Paquito D’Rivera, Branford Marsalis, Kenny Barron, John Scofield and more!
DETROIT – The Detroit Jazz Festival, the world’s largest (and best) free jazz festival, tonight announced this year’s exciting lineup during a livestreamed preview event at the Gretchen C. Valade Jazz Center on the campus of Wayne State University. The evening featured live performances from the 2025 Artist-In-Residence Jason Moran, and the Detroit Jazz Festival All-Stars Generation Quintet.
“We’re excited to once again bring an eclectic array of jazz luminaries to the stages of the Detroit Jazz Festival in downtown Detroit on Labor Day weekend,” said Chris Collins, president and artistic director, Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation. “We look forward to celebrating our 46th year as a free festival that brings the magic of jazz to our faithful fans in Detroit, around the state and across the globe without any barriers.”
